Tears & Gearz’s Father Figure Fantasy EP

June may be over but the party isn’t, not when Tears & Gearz just dropped their new EP, Father Figure Fantasy. Every day is Pride and Father’s Day in Tears & Gearz world. This singer / songwriter duo’s sound is canned electro-pop with sexy and fun lyrics.

Father Figure Fantasy is a little four-song taste of what Zee Machine and Bentley Robles can come up with when they put their heads together. In my gay opinion, these “love” songs are much grittier and more real than most songs out now. “Same Tears Twice” has relationship drama on repeat, “Delusional” makes arguing an aphrodisiac, deriving pleasure from an ex’s downfall is a turn-on for “Revenge Is Chic” and the song “George Michael” is an homage to the late singer and the muse for the EP’s title.

George started out in Wham with Andrew Ridegley but Zee and Bentley are bringing their own talents to Tears & Gearz, and hopefully they can take their pairing just as far. Until then, Father Figure Fantasy will be making folks dreams a whole lot wetter and wilder.
