Marielle Kraft’s The Right People Will Love You

Sure, when it comes to big-name pop divas pumping out love songs for the masses, there’s a bunch to choose from. Perhaps you’re a Swifty, Olivia Rodrigo might be more your speed, or you’re like me and into Sabrina Carpenter because you love her Strawberry Daydream Refresher (hold the ice and cold foam) from Dunkin’.

However, they can’t compare to a more relatable singer-songwriter diva whose talent shines brightly through a rainbow prism. That diva is Marielle Kraft and her new album, The Right People Will Love You, which has honest lyrics and just as much pop appeal.

Marielle has a couple singles and EPs under her belt, her last being Good from a couple years ago. The Right People Will Love You is her debut album and she has definitely honed her craft over the years. Her new album is high production with well-developed vocals and her songwriting abilities have never been in question.

The Right People Will Love You has a dozen catchy bops with love as a central theme. It’s there if you’re dealing with unexpectedly great feelings (“What Do I Do With Happy?”), picking up pieces after being dumped (“Missing Much”), or not wanting to be the rebound girl (“Read The Room”). The music is relatable no matter your relationship preference, however “First Girl To Love Me” and “The Right People Will Love You” are geared towards those in same-sex relationships who wish to hear their stories told.

In my gay opinion, no matter who you love or who loves you, there’s a good chance you’re going to love this album.
