Sarah Hollins’ Libra EP

My last Sarah Hollins post mentioned how she puts out new music every four years and just like clockwork her new Libra EP dropped last week. The EP may only be five songs but each has it’s own story and sound. Libra serves elevated garage band realness, which is more gritty and honest than most over-produced mainstream music today, in my gay opinion.

Libra has a rocking out ballad vibe. Sarah’s sound is very indie, her lyrics revisit her history and her sound feels like a harkening back to a time when things were different but not necessarily better. As with a lot of Sarah’s music, these songs deal with family and religious struggles but still have an upbeat sound for a promising future. Sarah, see you again in 2030, but hopefully sooner.
