Charley’s The Chronicles Of A Serial Idealist

After putting out a couple EPs, Charley has finally dropped her debut album, The Chronicles Of A Serial Idealist. Thankfully she’s kept her radio-friendly sound which originally made me a fan.

The Chronicles Of A Serial Idealist rides the perfect pop balance, with it’s mid-tempo music mastery. Every song makes you want to either shake your shoulders or sway to the groove.

In my gay opinion, Charley’s lyrics are also a perfect balance of depth and fun. She’s got a sexy style and sound that’s for everyone. “Boys Scare Me” is one of the best songs, with it’s pros and cons list for dating both women and men.

“Lil Rockstar” is the track I enjoy the most and find relatability in the fan-girl story line. We’ve all been there. “Now I’m taking cold showers just to cool off / I’d lay in the snow but it’s just not enough / Can’t keep my hands from going down south / Cause a babe in a band’s got me going out of my mind”

If you’re a fan of Charley’s and you live in Australia, I’m jealous because she’s got cool merch on her website and she’s touring to promote the album. Fingers crossed, if all goes well, I can hope for a world tour.
