DAANI’s Two Hands

It’s been a little over a month since my last post because I haven’t felt inspired to write lately. That changed this past week when two strangers contacted me here. One complimented me and Robert Herjavec, who I mentioned in an earlier post. I often get compared to Robert since we’re both rich, handsome, successful businessmen; he does his thing with internet security software and I have this blog. It’s like we’re twins.

The other person who contacted me was promoting the singer DAANI and her song “Two Hands”. This happened once before with someone promoting Austin Kolbe, who I ended up doing a post about as well. Will I promote anyone if they send me a video? I guess the answer is yes, I’m a blog whore like that. Compliments and a new diva got my creative juices flowing again.

DAANI is a Nashville based artist who has done backing vocals for Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow and The Roots. Her last single was the official song for The Hunger Games Mockingjay trailer, at least that’s what I was told and I don’t care enough to research its validity because The Hunger Games is one of those books-to-movie-franchises that I have zero interest in, along with Harry Potter, Twilight and 50 Shades Of Grey.

“Two Hands” is a fun song with a beat that got my head bopping and fingers snapping. With her little “huhs” and not putting up with anyone’s shit, she has the diva attitude I love. The video is low budget with it’s Cat’s Cradle string backdrop and kaleidoscope special effects, but isn’t that the way first videos should be? In my gay opinion, DAANI has the ability to be this generations Neneh Cherry. Better watch out “Buffalo Stance”. Huh, sucka!
